Welcome to the Official Website of the John's Foundation 17 Mile SDA Church.

The John's Foundation 17 Mile Seventh-day Adventist Church is located at 17 Mile along the Sogeri Road in Central Province, Papua New Guinea. It is situated within the historic Bisiatabu District — the birthplace of Adventism in Papua New Guinea.

In 1908, the first Seventh-day Adventist missionaries to Papua New Guinea — Pastor Septimus Walfred Carr and his wife Edith, together with the Fijian missionary Peni Tavodi — arrived in Port Moresby. Before climbing the mountains of Koiari to establish the first mission station at Bisiatabu, they rested for the night at 17 Mile, right where the John's Foundation now stands.

The church operates an Influence Centre named in honour of this early missionary work, and it also runs a radio and television ministry known as the Two Witnesses Broadcasting.

This is a unique institutional church. John's Foundation serves as a supporting ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Also, John's Foundation supports and leads the church in our vicinity, The John's Foundation 17 Mile SDA Church, reaching out to the people of Papua New Guinea through education, media, and community service. Because of its strategic and historic location, the church remains strongly mission-driven and outreach-oriented.
